अचंभो इक देख्यो ब्रज माहिँ | श्रुतिन महावाक्यन अस्तुति सुनि, जो मुख बोलत नाहिँ | सोइ गोकुल गोकुल बछरनि की, बोलनि सोँ बतराहिँ | जो स्वामिहुँ बनि शंभु समाधिहुँ, जावन महँ सकुचाहिँ | सोइ निदरतहूँ ब्रजवनितनि घर, जावन महँ बलि जाहिँ| लखि 'कृपालु' करतूति प्रीति येहि, ज्ञानीजन खिसियाहिँ|

Hindi Meaning

मैंने ब्रज में एक महान आश्चर्य देखा | जो ब्रह्म वेदों के महावाक्यों की स्तुतियों को सुनकर मुँह से नहीं बोलता, वह ब्रह्म गोकुल में गायों के बछड़ों की अव्यक्त भाषा से बातें करता है| जो ब्रह्म भगवान शिव की समाधि में, स्वामी बनकर जाने में भी संकोच करता है, वही ब्रह्म अपमानित होकर भी ब्रजांगनाओं के घर आने में बलिहार जाता है| ‘कृपालु’ कहते हैं कि प्रेम की इस विलक्षण करतूत को देखकर ज्ञानी लोग अत्यन्त खिसिया जाते हैं |

English Meaning

I have seen a great wonder in Vrindavan. The Brahman, who does not speak upon hearing the praises of the great sayings of the Vedas, communicates with the calves of the cows in Gokul in their unexpressed language. The same Brahman, who hesitates to enter the trance of Lord Shiva as a master, willingly endures humiliation to visit the homes of the ladies of Braj. ‘Kripalu’ says that upon witnessing this unique act of love, the wise are left utterly astonished.
